MANILA, Philippines — Armed with her international experience, Faith Nisperos is bringing all the learnings from Alas Pilipinas to make up for her lost time with the Akari Chargers.
Nisperos wasn’t a starter but that didn’t stop her from delivering the goods with 16 points for Akari to overcome Galeries Tower’s tough challenge, 28-30, 25-15, 25-16, 25-23, in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference on Saturday at Philsports Arena.

“It all comes down to the confidence I gained from my stint with Alas. The skills are trained every day, but the main thing I carried over from that experience is confidence. As long as I have confidence in myself and trust in my teammates, I think I can contribute to the team,” said Nisperos.

It’s a process, and since it’s a long conference, I’m focusing on improving each game rather than just winning,” said Nisperos.
“I guess you could say I had to re-learn how to blend with new teammates. It’s going to take time, but since it’s a long conference, time is everything, as Coach Taka said. We’ll see in future games and practices how well and how quickly we can adapt,” she added.

“Of course, any opportunity given to us, we’re always willing to give it our all. Every time we step on the court, every moment matters, so we have to give 100% effort all the time,” she said.
